A camera, a scooter and an olive tree!

Monday 18th May There have been a few developments over the past week. Garden centres have been permitted to open. So, on Saurday morning we headed to Urban Jungle.  We were pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't too busy and social distancing was manageable e.g. we were 3rd in the (outside) queue to pay.We had considered buying an olive tree. A sunny weekend

The photographers We had a good weekend. Val decided we would go looking for an Olive tree.... There are only two places we knew where we might find an Olive tree.......... Urban Jungle  and Notcutts....... As Urban Jungle is quite nearby we decided to go there first and we had a good visit. We both went with camera's and never found the tree we wanted. It was good to have people come together and spend time. We didn't stay too long but we later found out some had carried on celebrating until the early hours... Sunday started with a bright blue sky and I suggested to Val that we go into the city together but went different ways so we could do our own different photo shoots.. I have put a link her...

Today marks the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe day in 1945.  My Mum and Dad were married but he wasn't in England as he was serving on HMS Indomitable in the Pacific. Today Val and I will celebrate with the country and I will try to record the day in B&W as would have been done in 1945..... You can see the whole folder here
